Here, everything you need to know about the “movie in chapters” and the new app it’s streaming on.
Great news for Game of Thrones fans: Sophie Turner will be returning to our screens on April 6 thanks to a new streaming app called Quibi. Although there hasn’t been a lot of information released about the Survive “movie in chapters”—Quibi’s definition of “big stories told in chapters that are seven to 10 minutes in length”—here’s everything we know about Survive so far.
Wait, what’s Quibi?
Quibi is an entertainment platform designed specifically for your phone (ahem, people who watch Netflix on the subway, this is for you) with content created by Hollywood stars. Everyone from Chrissy Teigen to Chance the Rapper will have content streaming on it. On April 6, the app will launch 50 shows and plans to launch 175 total in its first year.
According to Quibi, the three categories of content include:
Movies in Chapters: Big stories told in chapters that are 7 to 10 minutes in length.
Unscripted and Docs: This episodic category is food, fashion, travel, animals, cars, builds, music, sports, comedy, talk, variety, documentary and more. All with episodes in 10 minutes or less.
Daily Essentials: Curated daily into 5-6 minute quick bites of news, entertainment and inspiration. Quibi’s Daily Essentials will quickly give viewers everything they need to know—and why it matters.
What’s Survive about?
Turner’s character, Jane, survives a plane crash with one other person (Corey Hawkins) and has to figure out how to stay alive. She’ll face the wilderness, harsh weather conditions, and personal trauma, and she struggled with thoughts of suicide before the crash. It’s based on the novel Survive by Alex Morel.
Hello there! I think I must share this with you all, because I am so happy with all the visitors that I have here.
I am writing this post because I was fired a few days ago. Due to the COVID-19 in Madrid (Spain), were I am living, my company is going to close for now until this crisis will be solved. We must stay at home at least 15 days (but I think, I am going to be here more time, sadly). The good new is that I am going to have a lot of time to do all the things that I want with the site (complete old photos, photoshoots, career…). But I have a bad new too, due to this, I don’t know if I can maintain the site. Without a job, I am not going to get any money and I need to pay host montly. I am going to try my best but I am not sure on how to solve this and it is going to depend of the situation in my country. As always, if you like this site and want to help this to keep online, please, feel free to go here to donate. Every little bit helps and will be used to maintain the site.
After being sad and depressed 2 days, I think it it time to work with the site to not think. So, I am going to try my best.
If you have questions, suggestions, comments… please, feel free to contact me.
Also, if you would like some photos or whatever to be uploaded first, please, let me know.
The rumored soon-to-be mom on her new TV show, marriage, and her ‘built-in girlfriends’ the Jonas Sisters.
The Queen in the North is sitting regally before a lighted mirror in the kitchen of a luxurious house in Venice Beach, California. Outside the large front windows, a river of humanity streams past on the Strand—walkers and runners and riders of all manner of wheeled conveyance. Across a wide expanse of fine sand lies the Pacific Ocean, a dazzling azure sea against a cloudless sky of Crayola blue.
Inside the house, Sophie Turner, 24, submits to the ministrations of her attendants. Though her hair is back to its natural blond, she is immediately recognizable as the English schoolgirl who first appeared on our screens nine years ago, at the age of 13, in the beloved and much-lauded HBO series Game of Thrones.
As the auburn-haired Sansa Stark, Turner portrayed with gathering skill the coming of age of a young woman who suffered greatly over the course of the show’s eight seasons, yet prevailed mightily in the end, leading her kingdom to independence. In 2019, the final year of the show, Turner was nominated for an Emmy for outstanding supporting actress in a drama.
And, of course, over the last three-plus years there’s been her well-publicized relationship and recent marriage to pop superstar Joe Jonas, along with her appearance in two music videos as part of the trio of Jonas Brothers wives known as the J Sisters: Priyanka Chopra, the hugely famous Indian actress who is married to the youngest Jonas brother, Nick; and Danielle “Dani” Deleasa Jonas, who is perhaps best known for the reality show Married to Jonas, about her marriage to the eldest Jonas brother, Kevin.
“With Joe, I always felt like I was the one who was punching, like, way above my league. And I still feel like that,” Turner says. “He’s so handsome, talented, funny, charismatic. I’m really lucky to be with him and have someone like him want to be around me and spend time with me.” As this issue goes to press, multiple sources have reportedly confirmed to the entertainment site Just Jared that Turner is pregnant with the couple’s first child. Needless to say, the absence of an “official” confirmation did little to quell enthusiasm online, with “Sophie Turner is pregnant” trending within hours of the story breaking.
Sophie Turner is the BFF you’ve always wanted. The bestie that comes with an ELLE April 2020 cover, of course. Our latest #AskMeAnything finds us on set with our forever Queen of the North, as she reminisces on Game of Thrones, shares her favorite binge watches (yes: KUWTK), and shares the beloved British meal that her husband Joe Jonas serves up to make her feel at home.
Sophie Turner Fan is no longer under free hosting, so if you want to help to keep the site alive and online, please consider giving a donation. Any amount, no matter how small, will be more than appreciated. All donations will go to domain renewals, monthly hosting bills, HQ photos for the gallery… Thank you!
